What is Privi?
a. Privi is a messaging system designed to be private
and secure.

How is my data protected?
a. When you send data to a contact, that data is
encrypted before leaving your device and only decrypted on the recipient’s
device. The server has no way to decrypt or manipulate that data.
3.
How is my identity protected?
a. Privi does not use any personally identifiable data
to create your account. The server assigns your account a unique random number
when created. The name you use for your account is only visible to your
contacts.
4.
How do I use Privi?
a. Use Privi like any other messaging app to send text
and images.
5.
What if I lose my phone?
a. You can create a backup of your account and entrust
it to one of your contacts. That backup is only available to your trusted
contact, and only they can restore your account to a new device.
6.
What encryption algorithms does Privi use?
a. All data is encrypted with AES256 in Galois/Counter
Mode. The key exchange uses Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman with curve25519
keys.
